We offer a bespoke personal support service to help you and your loved ones lead the lives you want to live. Our services include everything from shopping and housekeeping to arranging appointments, travel to companionship and a good natter.

Cleaning

We can help with both regular cleaning of your house with help where you want it. Vacuuming, mopping, washing up and making beds to spot cleaning and blitz/spring cleans. We can also freshly launder and/or iron your clothes and bedlinen.

Companionship

The positive impact of companionship has never been more widely recognised as being a crucial factor for a happy and healthy life. We can accompany days out to local settings aswell as days in with a cuppa and a good catch up.

Shopping

We can either accompany you and help you with your local or online shopping or we can do the shopping for you. We will unpack your groceries and can help with food storage organisation. We can also transport, accompany you and carry your bags for your non-grocery shopping.

Return home from hospital

We can work with the discharge team to arrange your welcome return back home.
We will be there to rebuild your confidence and support you with your rehabilitation. Our bespoke service packages can help you enjoy being back in your own home!

Meal preparation​​

We can help with everything from fresh meal preparation with your preferences and dietary requirements in mind to helping with cake baking.
We can also arrange meal delivery services with local trusted providers.

Transport​

We can provide transport to and from hospital and other appointments and we can even stay with you at the appointment. We can provide transport to social events or to visit friends and family.

Errands

Let one of our friendly team help you with errands including prescription collecting, posting letters, dropping off and collecting parcels.
Have pets? Our team are amimal lovers and can help with walks, vet visits etc.

Admin, bills and tech help

We can help you safely navigate the internet and help with both paper and paperless correspondence.
We can help you to keep in contact with loved ones online and also advise on suspicious communications to avoid.

Diary management

We can help you organise your weekly, monthly and annual plans from helping with Christmas gift buying and organising parties to booking appointments and preparation for social events.

Night nanny

For families with young children we can provide nightshift nannying. This can either cover the first few days or weeks of baby at home or can be a regular weekly or biweekly service to let you get the rest you need to recover.

Tradesperson
management

Need to employ a tradesperson for work that needs doing to your property?
We can source and organise a local tradesperson for you and be there when they visit.

Holidays

Are you wanting assistance and companionship to make your holiday great? Let us know your plans and let us help. We can also help those coming down to Cornwall for a holiday with bookings, travel and domestic help.

Our staff receive data protection training and we have data protection policies and procedures in place which teams are required to adhere to. We regularly review who has access to information that we hold to ensure it can only be accessed by trained staff.

When do we share your personal information?

We will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties for the purposes of marketing, and we will not share your personal information for others to use in their marketing or fundraising activities. We may need to disclose your personal information if required to the police, regulatory bodies or legal advisors. We will only ever share your data in other circumstances if we have your explicit and informed consent.

How long do we store your personal information?

if you are someone who receives support from us, we will keep your data for 6 years after we stop providing you with support. Personal data used in relation to a safeguarding incident will be kept for a minimum of 75 years. if you ask us not to send you any marketing emails, we will stop storing your emails for marketing purposes (although we will keep a record of your preference not to be emailed). The time periods for which we keep information are stipulated in our data retention policy. We review our data retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We continually review the information that we hold and destroy any information that is no longer required. We will never store payment card information.

Your legal rights

You are always in control of your personal information. Here is an outline of your rights and how you can exercise them. Right to access - You have a right to have confirmation that your personal information is being processed. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. You can do this by emailing us at contact@cotvalleycare.co.uk You will need one piece of ID for us to process your request. We will endeavour to fulfil this request within one month of request date. Right to correction - The accuracy of your personal information is important to us. You have the right to request that your personal information is rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete. We will endeavour to fulfil this request within one month of submission date. Right to be forgotten - You do not have an automatic right to have your personal information deleted. However you do have the right to request the deletion or removal of your personal information where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing. We will review each request on a case by case basis. We will endeavour to comply with your request without delay and in any event, within one month of receiving your request. Right to restrict processing - You have the right to suppress processing of your personal information. However, we will continue to store your personal information but not further process it. We do this by retaining just enough of your personal information so we can ensure that the restriction is respected in the future. We will respond to your request within 21 days of receiving it, stating what we intend to do and, if we do not intend to comply with the objection, the reasons for our decision.
